Gwen’s swing, Zinnias, Pumpkins, and the poor Pear tree.

Skippy’s little girl has found her favorite place at her new home. How she gets in and out of the swing is still a mystery to us. Her new owner has named her Gwen.

Below: The zinnias and the pumpkins are truly growing rapidly. However, we think a deer snacked on one of our new pear trees. It WAS sprayed, but obviously the leaves were just too wonderful to pass up despite the smell of the invisible fence.

Below: Max has started his own garden in his back yard. The raised beds contain his herbs that were purchased as small plants. Max planted pumpkin seeds, honeydew seeds, and cantaloupe seeds and all have sprouted. (You may have to look closely to see the sprouted pumpkins in front of the raised bed.) We will keep you posted on Max’s garden.

Below: Have you heard of the game Chronology? It can be played by individuals or by teams and it is a wonderful game for people 9 to 90. John and Edna were visiting from Pennsylvania and I was lucky enough to be on their team. Even though out team did not win, we all enjoyed playing this the game after dinner.
