Below is a picture of the Corn. There are also some carrots and lettuce around the edges. The recent addition of fertilizer has turned the corn a bright green. The next two pictures are of the Cantaloupe- you can see the first flower bud beginning to open in picture #3. The last picture is an experiment. Time to laugh! We have tried everything to ward off gnats. Our last ditch effort was Irish Spring. It seems to work, but we need a few more tries before we recommend it. We got the idea because the one person who is never bitten by gnats said he used Irish Spring soap. We will now cut up a bar of Irish Spring and test it with visitors at the farm.





Below: We recently went to the Norwood Lake in Louisiana. A strange Crystal-like pollen covered most of the lake. The pollen was both fluffy and iridescent. I am not sure of the type, but as soon as it is identified, I will let you know. The plant identifier has given 3 different names so far, so I am seeking help from a human.
