Pygmy Goats go to new homes, Wildlife cameras with Deer, Turkey, and Bobcat.

Some of our goats have found a new home. Fool, Butter and her kid, Einstein and her kid have moved to a 140 acre farm with a large barn that they will share with other livestock. They will also have a pen and great new owners who know how to care for goats. Below is a picture of their first night in their new home. Goats need space to roam and our goat yard was too small for 19 goats. This is the right move to keep our animals happy and healthy.

Below: Slideshow of our goats before the new owners arrive to claim their new pets.

Below: Before some of our goats were relocated, they visited the field behind the goat yard. Goats love briar.

Our cameras are still picking up lots of Turkeys on the property. Hopefully we will start seeing the mama turnkeys with their poults roaming the property soon. We are pretty sure the turkeys have nested in the tall grass on Big Field and Rattlesnake. We will no longer cut through the grass until we see the poults have hatched.

The trail cameras are still showing the same cast of characters. The bobcat seems very healthy, but we have never seen him in person even with the thermal binoculars. We do not own the dogs that frequently visit the property. Since deer season ended, we are starting to see deer around the house in the afternoon. Hopefully, the spray on the fruit trees and the abundance of food in the fields will keep the deer away from our gardens and fruit trees.
