The oldest kid was born mid February and the youngest kid is five days old. It will be a few more weeks before the older kids head to their new homes. Below are 6/10’s of the kids playing together in the goat yard. The newest kid has not joined the play group yet and still stays within 15 feet of mama.
Butter is turning out to be a very good mother. She is very possessive and does not want any of the other goats near her new kid. However, Butter has no problem with us holding her kid.
The crying you hear in the video below is Butter calling her kid. Butter’s new kid does not always respond immediately. Sounds like a human trait!
