Must be the time for Deer- because they are visiting day and night. Unfortunately, they are also visiting the orchard next to the farm house and eating the leaves off the fruit trees. Even the stinky spray has not kept them off of the pear trees. Our next try will be to use bird netting in addition to the spray.
If you really want to see a wonderful site, take a drive to see the Christmas bonfires along the levee of the Mississippi. The bonfires start around the levee in LaPlace, Louisiana and extend almost to the Sunshine Bridge (south of Gonzales). The bonfires are on the East side of the Mississippi River as you wind along the River Road. Crews work together to design and build their bonfire and then light the bonfires on Christmas Eve to guide Papa Noel to the area. If you haven’t seen this site, it is worth the drive no matter where you live!. Merry Christmas to All!
