Meals from the garden, harvesting lettuce, and getting the nursery ready for the kids

Fresh lettuce and cilantro from the garden, and shrimp stuffed bell peppers (bell peppers grown by Jackie in St. Francisville) made a delicious meal.

Below: Picture #1 is of the carrots, #2 and #3 show lettuce before harvesting #4 is the garlic, #5 is after the harvesting of lettuce, and the last picture is a bag of lettuce we had with dinner tonight.

Below: Years ago we attempted to raise Guinea hens, but we were unsuccessful due to the predators in the area. After the second batch of Guinea Hens were eaten, we let the Guinea House stay empty. In the last few years, we have noticed that some of the goats prefer to use the Guinea house to give birth. Since our Goats usually deliver their kids between January and April, we cleaned the Guinea House this morning. We hauled away 5 large trash cans of hay and pine shavings and put clean pine shavings out. We will wait to put a bail of hay until we see a goat actually using the Guinea House. The Guinea House is now ready if any of the goats want to use it for their nursery. Of course Fool had to oversea our every step.
