The deer are looking healthy and happy on the big field.
Flip through the slide show to see all of the turkeys. Look for the beard on the males (Toms are the older males and Jakes are the young males). Look for the fan of tail feathers by the males. The female turkeys nest on the ground throughout the spring and tend the nests 24/7 for approximately 27 days. Right now, we are seeing lots of males and not many females. Maybe we will have lots of poults (baby turkeys) soon.
Who let the COWS out? We do not own cows on this farm, but somehow, they have come to visit. A picture of a deer and turkey also slipped into this slide show.
Look to the far left of this picture. That is a bobcat. Maybe we will get a better picture of the whole bobcat soon.
