Carrots are sprouting and Demie can get through the fence.

Our carrots were planted two weeks ago. They still have quite a ways to go before harvest, but everything has to start somewhere.

Below: Here is the fake owl we put the help protect the fruit trees and blueberries from birds. Hope it works. (We have real owls in the area, but they are not around during the day.)

Below: Demie would not leave the goat yard, so we let the other goats out and closed the gate (which has 4 inch squares) to keep Demie in the goat yard. When I returned from the barn, Demie was on the outside of the gate. Guess 4 inch squares are no challenge even though Demie has grown since birth. You can see Demie with the rest of the goats in the video below. Demie still uses sound, not sight, to find her mama.
