Bailing out the boat, fishing, Gingerbread, 85th Birthday, and 50th Wedding Anniversary!

There was enough rain in North Louisiana to tilt the boat (but not sink it). The solar panel-driven bilge pump did not get the job done because solar panels do not recharge when the sun is not shinning. There was at least 5 inches of water in the boat, but nothing a little bailing couldn’t fix. Unfortunately, a day of “catching” was not in the cards. Not even a bite on Wednesday.

Friday was a different story. Five bass were caught, but the big one threw the hook right at the boat. It was a “catch and release” day, so the release of the four pounder was just a little earlier than desired.

The Chopins in Round Rock finally got around to decorating their gingerbread houses. Better late, than never! Nice job!! Merry Christmas.

Vermont got colder and the rain has stopped. A little skiing is possible now, so the ski trip will continue. Ike likes the hot waffles at the Waffle Cabin.

Heddie and Sammy Carville celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary with the family and the people who were in their wedding.  Father Johnny Carville married the couple on his 35th birthday, so there were plenty of “Happy Birthday” wishes when Father Johnny showed up for the 50th year celebration.

Merry Christmas to ALL!
