This is Fool, our only male goat. Fool butted me from behind the other day, so we had to have a little discussion with him. I can’t tell if he wants my attention or is trying to show me who is boss.

This morning we gave the goats a little treat. Some like it and some do not. (It smells like licorice.) Peanut was too busy eating the hay, but she was glad to have a treat after she finished chewing the hay.
Our fruit trees (cherry, pears, apples) are all supposed to get a little cold weather. the species that we have require 60 to 100 hours of chill or hours between freezing and 45 degrees. Some fruit trees require as much as 1200 hours out chill. We were careful not to plant any trees requiring the much ‘chill’. Today there was frost on the ground, so we hope these trees are happy. The two trees with yellow tags are the replacement cherry trees. Both our previous cherry trees died during the drought this summer. The tree company said to plant now so that the trees will be established before the summer. Keep your fingers crossed!

The burn ban is finally over!. This was the fire this morning at 7 am.

EC and Camille made and impressive showing at the gymnastics meet! Then Camile received “Coaches Choice” for her performance. Way to go girls!
