This is 6.5 pound bass that was caught on a rattle trap in a Louisiana lake. Of course, this bass went back into the water after the pictures were finished.

The lake in Norwood is still low despite recent rains. The clay has cracked into large pads that give slightly as you walk across them. Look at the circular impressions at the edge of the water. These are bass beds that were underwater and were made by bass for spawning.
The bass uses its tail to make these holes or impressions. The process is called “fanning” the beds. It is not uncommon for the bass to beat up its tail in making these beds.

BELOW: The brownie cups were made by placing brownie mix in muffin tins and adding a second tin (greased on the bottom) on top of the first tin during the baking. The ice cream was homemade and two different toppings were used. The first topping was the Rothschild sea salt and chocolate sauce. The second topping was just chocolate sauce.
