The goats tend to waste the hay and they will not eat hay once it hits the ground. A compressed bale of hay and alfalfa grass now costs $25 and lasts about a week with our 8 goats. We finally purchased a hay cradle from Tractor Supply. It didn’t take our brilliant goats anytime to figure out how to access the hay. Hopefully, the compressed bale of hay will last a little longer in the hay cradle.

New Trail Camera pictures are in the slideshow below. These fields have been newly planted so hopefully these deer will have something to eat during the winter.
Even though we received an inch of rain this last week, the lake in Norwood is still very low. The fish attractors were high and dry, so we moved them to another lake. The fate of the Norwood lake is still in question.
After Thanksgiving, it will be time for the Gingerbread house party, This same party started 36 years ago for our children and is now for nieces, nephews and their children and our grandchildren. Preparations of the dough and icing is done a week in advance. With lots of help from Aunt Carrie we made 15 batches of gingerbread and almost as many batches of icing for next week.

We are pretty sure Trip did not shoot these by himself! Kennan also joined her dad for the hunt.
