Pear Blossoms, Pygmy goats love hay

The pear tree is blossoming. This tree may be confused because pears are supposed to lose their leaves in the winter and blossom in the spring with fruit developing in the summer to early winter. With the hot summer and drought, there is no telling what to expect.

Our goats love hay. This is a new bail of compressed alfalfa hay and the goats definitely love the treat. Goats do not want the hay that hits the ground. It is necessary to leave the hay in the bail so the goats do not spread the hay out and waste it. A hay ‘feeder’ is on our list of purchases this fall.
