Seems a lot of people went fishing over the long weekend. Obviously the slides above are from salt water fishing.

Slideshow below: 1 is Muscadine vine that finally has a few leaves. Slide 2 and 3 show our first raspberry for the year. Slide 4 was supposed to be the ripe blackberries we were going to harvest today- but when we arrived, something had eaten all of the ripe blackberries (very frustrating) . Slide 5 is the corn that has not tasseled yet- but hopefully will have corn and tassels soon. Did you know that each kernel of corn is formed by the pollination of a piece of the silk that is on that ear of corn. If you eat corn that is missing kernels, then all of the silk on that ear was not pollinated.
The watermelons are off to a very slow start. Out of the 20 seeds we planted, we have about 7 plants growing slowly. Slide 1 shows a few of the surviving watermelon plants. Slides 2-10 are the Zinnias and Sunflowers in the bed at the front of the farm.
The goats want to be fed and are jealous that the fish are getting their dinner.
