(and a few pictures from a friend cruising in Alaska)
The trail cameras caught this picture on August 18th on a field called Wagon Wheel. This appears to be a mother bear and cub. Mom has no ear tags or collar which means she has not been trapped by Mississippi Wildlife and Fisheries yet.

Below is a picture that is also from August 18 th in an area named ‘The Gap’. This may or may not be the mama bear above. However this bear appears to be larger than the mama above. Again, there are no ear tags to help us out on the sex of this bear. (A White tag on the right ear would be female.)
Below: Recent trail cam pictures show pregnant deer and fawns. Our turkeys also wanted their picture taken. The picture from nighttime is of a hog on an area called Big Field. There is also a bachelor group of 3 deer who are traveling together. This bachelor group will disband as mating season approaches.
Below: After two days of our goats not eating the alfalfa pellets we purchased for them, we dumped the rest of the bag for the deer. However, on the third day, the goats decided to try the pellets and ate every last pellet in the feeder. But it was too late, this very pregnant deer, and probably a few others, had already consumed the remaining pellets.
Below: Too Cute! Mama has her very young twins out for a walk at Magnolia Field.
Below: More deer and an older fawn at The Gap.

Below are pictures shared by another friend on an Alaskan Cruise. I guess it must be the perfect time to leave the heat and humidity of Mississippi and Louisiana for cooler weather!
