Poults, Bears & Cub, Coyote, Hogs, Deer, fawns, Pumpkins

Look at our collared visitor. Now look over to the left of this picture at the very tiny cub. Black Bear cubs are usually born in January weighing as little as a half pound. By one year they can weigh as little as 15 pounds or be much larger if the food is abundant. The trail cameras let us know that we have several black bears visiting the property at the same time.

Below: This rather skinny coyote is still around. Some dogs also making their rounds through the property.

A rather large number of poults seem to have hatched and survived this year. Now that these poults have grown enough to fly, their chances of survival are greatly increased. It has taken a few years, but the turkey population appears to be substantial this year.

Oh, Its party time! Look at the gathering of turkeys and deer on the fields. Looks like a big party.

Below: Our cameras also showed us a very new fawn and some hogs. This fawn also appears to be rather young.

Below: We are finding a few more pumpkins to harvest each weekend.
