Flowers, Fruit, and Vegetables

Bruce took some great pictures of the flowers in the yard.

Below: We have been busy harvesting honeydew, cantaloupe, watermelons, green beans, and pumpkins.

Below: pictures #1&2- Figs on the fig tree that is finally coming back from the drought and freeze of this past year, #3-Apples on one of the apple trees in the orchard #4,5,6 -different stages of Atlantic Giant pumpkins #7,8,9 Our first grapes (still pretty tiny) #10-Large Atlantic Giant pumpkin

Below: Some animal likes our pumpkin plants and the pumpkins. They started eating last week and their appetite has increased. Today we found the partial hull of a large pumpkin. We thought the culprits were deer, but we just found leaves eaten inside a fence that has bird netting over the top. Pretty sure a deer could not reach that spot. We may put out some cameras to see what we are feeding.

Below: From the garden to the table- Carrot bread was delicious!
