Grandparents’ Camp (Part II)

Art takes on many forms at Grandparents’ Camp. The first project used a hair dryer and acrylic paint. This project works best if the first coat (background) is applied liberally.

Below: A new addition to Grandparents’ camp this year was a pottery wheel. Everyone had fun working on the wheel. All campers had worked with clay in school, but not all had used an actual pottery wheel.

Below: Amelia and Quinn and the younger campers visited the beach to mine some Mississippi Red Clay. Calder took on the job of putting this clay in balls and saving it for future pots.
