The fishing trip in North Louisiana on a private lake was over in one hour, but what an hour it was!
The fishing started at 12:15. At 12:30, Bruce switched baits to a Hammerhead chatter bait with a crawfish colored skirt and plastic trailer. A one pound bass hit almost immediately. Within two more casts, a 3 pound bass with ‘lots of attitude’ hit.
Followed by a 7.65 pound bass (below)
Below: Followed within five minutes by a 3.5 pound bass.
Below: Then two were lost at the boat. Then a 5.65 pound bass hit.
Below: But we saved the best for last. Bruce said “get the net, this is a really big one”. AND IT WAS!
Nothing was caught after the alligator took the magic bait, so we packed up and went home.
