Remember the Yellow Jackets that stung us a few weeks ago. On Friday Craig, Bruce, and Preston waited until nightfall and threw Seven at the mouth of the hole which lead to the yellow jackets’ nest. The next day, there were a few dead yellow jackets and a few still moving slowly. Bruce checked the nest on Monday. The plans were to dig the underground nest out and determine the size of the nest. However, a possum beat Bruce to the job. The last two pictures below show the nest completely excavated by the possum. Unfortunately, we are now seeing yellow jackets at the hummingbird feeders. I wonder where that nest is located.

Nick and Rena’s first day of the school year. AMPD has switched from dancing to gymnastics. Can’t wait for films of her progress!
