Harvesting Pumpkins and watermelon!

Ike and Quinn harvested pumpkins this weekend with Grandad! Now we have to figure what to do with all the pumpkins.

The two smaller watermelons both had the little vine by the stem turn brown. In addition, the vines to these watermelon were coming off, so even though they were small, it was time to harvest. Quinn cut the smallest watermelon and it was very red inside. However, it was not very sweet. We are hoping that the larger watermelon is sweeter.

Below: We are going to have to spray both the watermelon vines and the new pumpkin vines with deer repellent. This morning we found a not-so-great surprise and we could not blame this on the goats this time.
