The blackberries have taken off and are already producing fruit. You can still see white flowers on the bushes. These flowers will be pollinated and then produce blackberries. If you look at the slide show, you will see the green berries that will eventually ripen into blackberries.
The raspberries are not as far along as the blackberries. We don’t see any flowers yet, and that will have to happen before we get raspberries.
These are two of the apple trees planted last year. One is a Gala and the other is 5 types of apples in one. We most probably have a few years before we get decent fruit.
This is a Honey Crisp apple tree. It is a little slower than the other two apple trees in showing its foliage, but the scratch tests shows that this tree is still alive. It is just delayed slightly in blooming. We purchased all of our fruit trees from Fast Growing Trees and they have an excellent support center. If there is a concern about a tree (like this one), the help line will tell you exactly what to do to have healthy trees. In this case, we just have to be a little more patient.
