If you are thinking of owing a Pygmy goat-here is the information.

Pygmy goats are easy pets if you have enough grass or pasture, a small shelter or barn, and a source of water. Goats take care of themselves for the most part. You may feed your goats, but grain is not the best food and should be given in moderation. (We give our goats sweet feed once or twice a week).

We do recommend that your goats get a yearly injection and inspection by the veterinarian, but most veterinarians will sell you the medication and tell you how to inject your goats if you want to do so. Likewise, you can drop off a few “droppings” and the veterinarian will inspect these and give you instructions on any medication that should be administered.

We have two water sources, the lake and a bucket which is filled by the downspout of the barn. Clean water is always best, but a backup source is always good.

Goats do want some form of shelter, but this can be a dirt floor with three or four sides to protect them from rain and bad weather.

Our farm sells Pygmy goats for PETS ONLY and not for consumption. Kids may be taken at 8 weeks old. Goats are herd animals and it is best to have two or more. However, you should only have one male per herd.

Female goats are for sale at $175 to $225 and males for $150 to $175. Our goats are NOT registered. Please Call if you are interested in purchasing one or more Pygmy goats. 225 892 5135.
